The Sarasota Bradenton Claims Association is an organization comprised of insurance professionals, including company representatives, consultants, providers and attorneys, who regularly deal with insurance claims and litigation. SBCA seeks to promote and expand the cumulative knowledge of its members through meaningful and open discussions and to provide insurance professionals the opportunity to build and maintain relationships within the insurance industry, as well as seeks to encourage educational efforts in all subjects relating to adjusting; and to promote the general welfare in the handling of claims.

Claims Specialist – Sarasota Branch
Flexible Hybrid Work from Home – 1 day per week (Tuesday) in office

Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of company’s liability concerning claims and attempt to effect settlement with claimants. Correspond with or interview medical specialists, agents, witnesses, or claimants to compile information. Calculate benefit payments and approve payment of claims within a certain monetary limit. All tasks are to be performed with the goal of demonstrating Zenith’s superior claims handling expertise.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements
- 1+ yr claim or insurance experience.
- Previous workers’ compensation experience.
- Technical workers’ compensation claims knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on telephone communication required.
- Strong math and reading skills required.
- Meets all state regulatory standards regarding licensing, continuing education, and other requirements.

The anticipated hiring range for this opportunity is $72,721.92 to $80,802.14. Placement within that range is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. If an applicant has a specific question as relates to anticipated hiring range for the applicant’s specific location, the recruiter will provide upon request. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
